Mika Stefanaki

Dancer Choregrapher

Mika Stefanaki was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a degree in Theatre Studies from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the State Professional Dance School of Thessaloniki. She also holds the Advanced 1 Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance.

She has enriched her training through numerous seminars in classical, jazz, and contemporary dance, studying with internationally renowned artists such as Rick Odums and David Zambrano, and has participated in the International Summer Ballet Academy in Varna.

Mika has had a long teaching career in dance and movement, working in institutions such as the Diagonal Dance School and the Theatre Workshop “Parathlasi.” From 2003 to 2017, she taught a wide range of dance styles including classical ballet, jazz, and creative movement.

As a choreographer and movement director, she has collaborated with theatre groups including Hippo Theatre Group, W.T.F-ACT, and VIS MOTRIX on productions like Antigone, Eleni, and Return to Home. Her choreographic work spans both adult and children's theatre, with a focus on integrating movement into narrative performance.

Since 2000, she has been a member of the dance group BALLET TAN, performing in numerous productions choreographed by Ioannis Margaronis across Greece.

In parallel with her dance and choreography work, Mika has appeared as an actress in many productions by “Parathlasi,” performing roles in Dracula, Romulus the Great, and The Master and Margarita, among others.

She remains active today in the fields of performance, choreography, and movement education.
