
Myrto Makri
Actress
Myrto Makri was born in Thessaloniki in 1988. She is a professional actress, performer, facilitator, professional improviser, and teacher of acting, voice training, and movement.
She is a graduate of the “Andreas Voutsinas” Higher Drama School, holding a diploma accredited by the Greek Ministry of Culture. She has attended numerous courses and workshops in theatre, dance, and singing, studying with prominent teachers such as Julien Hamilton, Maria Lappa, Anna Papagiannaki-Divani, and Dimitris Varkas. She is trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance. She is also the founder of St-Art2Play Voice & Theatre Group, a music-theatre company focused on education and performance.
Myrto has performed in theatre productions, dance pieces, comedy improv shows, musicals, site-specific performances, and in two films produced by the Film Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In September 2022, she participated in the Sofia International Improv Festival with the performance Improv & Dragons. She has also worked as a children’s entertainer in camps and event agencies.
She completed training in Physical Theatre at the Present Being Performer Laboratory with Aliki Dourmazer and participated in the month-long international workshop The Method of Theodoros Terzopoulos at Attis Theatre.
During the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 seasons, she is performing as a member of the physical theatre company Hippo Theatre Group in the productions The City of Lost Robots and The Emperor’s Dilemma, presented in schools and theatres throughout Thessaloniki and other regions, as well as at Thessaloniki’s Small Stage (Mikri Skini).
Through her work, she loves to explore the concept of time.
