
Dimitris Kalakidis
Dramatourgist - Theatrologist
Dimitris Kalakidis is a graduate of the Theatre Department at the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has worked extensively with the theatre company Choros and director Simos Kakalas as a dramaturg and assistant director on numerous productions, including Erofili Synopsis (Athens Festival 2012), Golfo Director’s Cut, Syssimon, Telos (Onassis Cultural Centre), Orestes (Epidaurus 2015), The Godson (Greek National Opera), and The Fear Eats the Soul (Art Theatre).
He also contributed to Greek Freak: All Star Game and Greek Freak: Fire and Fury, and worked on The Downfall of the Egotist Johann Fatzer (National Theatre of Greece, Experimental Stage) and Here, Heaven (National Theatre of Northern Greece).
As a dramaturg, he collaborated on A Fairy Tale for Two (NTNG), and as assistant director he worked with Anna Kokkinou (Herodas’ Mimes, Sfendoni Theatre) and Yorgos Papageorgiou (Yiannoula the Koulourou, Athens Festival 2019).
