
Alexandros Raptis
Co-Founder, Director and Producer
Alexandros Raptis was born in Thessaloniki and is a graduate of the Department of Theatre at the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has completed his postgraduate studies at the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he is currently pursuing his doctoral dissertation as a PhD candidate.
He is an award-winning theatre and film director, producer, actor, theatre educator, and writer. In 2009, he co-founded the Hippo Theatre Group alongside Fotis Dousos. The group's productions have been presented in Greece, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia. In addition to his work with the group, he has collaborated as a director with major theatrical institutions, including the National Theatre of Northern Greece (NTNG) and the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Ioannina.
He has conducted acting seminars and organized artistic workshops for children and adults at festivals and theatre venues worldwide, including Athens, Thessaloniki, Chania, Limassol, San Francisco, New Jersey, Melbourne, and Mumbai. Furthermore, he has published theatrical plays and studies on theatre and cinema.
