Hippo Theatre Group presents for the second year the clasic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty adapted by Kalliopi Fikari. 

 

Using Physical theater techniques, dancing and singing we create a exuberant show for kids of every age. Hippo theatre Group suggests a contemporary version of the clasic story with fast rythm and lots of comedy, emotion and  suspense. Sleeping Beauty² is a story of adulthood, a kind of story that children love with their minds and souls. Basic theme of the performance is personal freedom and its limits.

 

The show follows a Drama in Education workshop. Through theater techniques (body and vocal games) children participate in a fantastic world inspired from the performance. Drama in Education' s basic targets are the development of the ability for verbal communication, the cultivation of the aesthetic expession, the boost of critical thought and the awereness regarding issues such as relationship with the parents, personal responsibility, and the concept of freedom.

The perfrormance concerns ages form nurcery up to elementary school (4 - 12).
