Hippo Theatre Group presents: A Surreal Mystery Adventure for Children

An original play written by Fotis Dousos and Alexandros Raptis, published by Dodoni Editions, and inspired by the documentary Connected: The Hidden Science of Everything (2020) by Canadian-American researcher - journalist Latif Nasser.

Concept

This surreal, eco-conscious mystery adventure for children focuses on a critical aspect of the global environmental crisis: light pollution and deforestation—specifically how they affect the lives of migratory birds. The story is grounded in the belief that everything in nature is connected, and the human ecological footprint plays a vital role in the future of life on Earth.

Plot Summary

In a world both strange and poetic, animals and humans must unite to protect nature from destruction. The driving force behind this destruction is the pursuit of profit and economic power, shown as the root of ecological collapse. Through humor, lyricism, and mystery, the story engages young audiences in an entertaining and deeply meaningful narrative.

Artistic Style

Continuing its distinctive physical theatre style known as "kinemo", Hippo Theatre Group creates a performance that blends:
