Hippo Theatre Group presents the play from Kalliopi Fykari, How can we get out of the bottom of the sea please? based on the famous story from Hans Christian Andersen "The Little Mermaid".

 

The story is an adaptation of the classical story that tries to reverse the stereotypes through comedy, emotion and suspense. 

 

Based on the fancinating plot, Hippo Theatre Group creates a show with physical theatre acting, smart dialogues, live music and lots if fantasy. With humor and sensitivity, with a responsible attitude towards kids and grown ups we have built a performance of great esthetic value and multiple meanings.

 

The basic issue that is explored during the show is the acceptance of others. 

 

The performance follows a small duration workshop based on Drama in Education. Through theater techniques (body and vocal games) children participate in a fantastic world inspired from the performance. Drama in Education' s basic targets are the development of the ability for verbal communication, the cultivation of the aesthetic expession, the boost of critical thought and the awereness regarding issues such as getting in touch with our emotions and respecting the others.
