International Hippo Theatre Group, after a world tour, presents for the second year Futuria, a science fiction fairytale.

 

Hippo theater group, using elements of physical theater, music, and few scenery, creates an exuberant future metropolis full of flying cars, funny robots and crazy inventions. The play is developed as a comedy and it' s about the ideal of freedom.

 

After the performance a Drama workshop is taking place, giving the opportunity to children to share their experience. The workshop is performed in English for better understanding; it’s interactive and very entertaining for the children. The workshop includes short theatrical games and Drama techniques to explore the concept of 'freedom and oppression'.

Synopsis

“Futuria. Year 2999. Nothing unusual today. Air traffic: normal. Hypernet: very good speed. Rain: under control....what? what is happening there? Sound the alarm!!!!”

Avrianna 245 minus suddenly decides to stop working and goes outside in the rain. This event was not predicted at all. It was forbidden to get out during working hours. From then and on our heroine gets involve in a great adventure, in which she meets Robert, the inventor of a time machine...

Avrianna is living in an imaginative future, where everything looks normal, but people don't feel really free. Accidentally discovers an alternate reality and she follows a different path...
