NIARΑ

Niara was not an ordinary cat. She thought of herself as a high class aristo-cat, but others thought she looked like just any other street cat. Niara didn' t know anything about her past. While she is trying to figure out what does her name mean, she decides to go on a trip of self awareness. Her journey is long, full of adventures, dangers and surprises. In her travels she meets with the restless woodpecker Rin- Run, the dull but wise dog Azortan and the agile, foxy cat master Abcatoul. Will Niara manage to get back in her home in the far away land of Portucat and will she find out the secret of her name? The symbolic pass from an age of innocence to an age of adultness is made with great effort and through many obstacles.
Puzzles, unknown languages, sneaky enemies and unexpected friends will finally help Niara to understand every tiny piece of her seven souls in depth!!!
NIARA is a modern storytelling with a lot influences from musical theatre. There is a lot of live music and dancing. Three actors perform dozens of roles with the use of their physical and vocal skills and some props. The performance rapidly develops towards a frenzy comedy, which is entertaining and educational at the same time.
After the performance a Drama workshop is taking place, giving the opportunity to children to share their experience. The workshop is performed in English for better understanding; it’s interactive and very entertaining for the children. The workshop includes short theatrical games and Drama techniques to explore the concept of 'bullying'. After the consultation of some teachers we think this is a big problem in schools all over the world so we try to create a game in which the children will understand the consequences of bullying and being bullied, in a emotionally safe and entertaining environment!
